The Technical Commission of Geology and Geophysics, in its meeting nº 1 held on 2nd December 2015, aproved to create, among others, the Working Group of Hydrogeology and Geothermia.

The functions assigned to this group are:

• Developing and proposing technical criteria that facilitate the coordination of the works related to hydrogeology and geothermia to be carried out in Catalonia;
• Proposing rules and standards deemed appropriate for the implementation of activities in the fields of hydrogeology and geothermia, and related disciplines;
• Developing proposals for the nomenclature and simbology to be used in the mapping of hydrogeology and geothermia incorporating geological information or, in general, geothematic information;
• Promoting uniformity of criteria for the mapping of hydrogeology and geothermia;
