The Cartographic Plan of Catalonia contains, at 2015, up to 11 sets of geological and geophysical information. The technical specifity of the works to be developed in the field of geology and geophysics, as well as related disciplines (soil sciences and pedology, seismology, geological engineering and geotechnics), make highly recommended the constitution of a Commission that gives technical support in these areas. In this sense the C4, in its meeting nº 20 held on 14 April 2015, approved the creation of the Technical Commission of Geology and Geophysics (CT4:GG).
